Edwin Jarvis Interview
Posted: 8/16/2008 6:54:48 PM

Roger Stern shares his thoughts on the Avengers very own Edwin Jarvis in this very rare interview. Check it out in our Articles Database!

Here is a little of what Jarvis had to say, "Oh, everyone has their favorites! Thor is fond of mead. That's rather hard to come by, but I have managed to find a few brands of ale and stout that seem to please him. Miss Wanda has a weakness for Crepes Suzette. And ever since Mantis has been among us, I've kept a number of macrobiotic dishes on hand. You see, the Avengers are like a second family to me. I like to see that they are well fed!"

Eulogy by Butch Syyap
Posted: 8/16/2008 6:54:27 PM

How would a nation react to a fallen hero? That probably depend on the hero now would it?

So let me rephrase this: How would a nation react to the loss of its living legend? What would people say, think and feel? In this day and age of quick news and media giants, how would we get news on the death of Captain America? Who was the last great figure to have received a near global coverage of his passing? Does crocodile hunter ring a bell? Wouldn't Cap's passing have, at least, similar global reations? Shouldn't he? How would his funeral service look like?

I tried to run with this idea - and the fact that most of these suposed accolades to him happened off panel (so far), and just typed out what I felt would be the common man's reaction, as well as those who've known the man most. After all, we're talking about a man who's saved presidents, who tried to be drafted by both Democrats and Republicans at one time. So how would people react? He may be no Pope John Paul II nor a Princess Diana, but one thing for sure - Captain America had many people look up to him, both as a person and as a symbol - as an ideal.

How does a world react to the loss of one such individual?

Not a "What If" but more a "What Could". Enjoy the ride.

Butch Syyap is at it again and this time he has put together some fantastic fan fiction. Though he's not an Avenger, I am sure you will you enjoy Butch's tale about the Winter Soldier!
